The affliction of God is not in truth punishment, but the affliction of God in truth is a trial or refinement in justice for righteousness or for in truth to be justified. But the affliction of God is not in truth on purpose or a direct punishment. The affliction of God is in truth due to the departure of the loving grace of God. And since now there is not the loving race or the loving presence of God in one, a loving grace or a loving presence filled with peace, with knowledge, with gladness and joy and even filled with abundance, thus the afflicted suffers because he feels abandoned or feels in a very great desolation, which also is the desolation of God.
This desolation of God in truth becomes a test to see if the afflicted, that now is beloved of God, thus not only praises God because of that loving presence which renewed and also brought to him faith of God, but also show in his praise that he would enjoy once again being with her forever. And because of that desire and that request of her, thus beloved of God will be in truth justified and will also be called with gladness and with all joy and even with all knowledge out form the desolation of God. And through that very call and through that very justification, thus beloved of God will be for more!
